I have been a Phoenix resident since the age of 10 and love this beautiful city. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to study with portrait master and muralist Jay Datus who gave me the foundation and color theory knowledge that has been instrumental in creating visual art. 

My primary medium is oil - but I also enjoy working in watercolor and feel comfortable working with either medium. I have traveled extensively both here and in Europe and South America and my sketch journals have given me excellent reference to work from along with my photos.

The subjects in my paintings vary so much that it would be hard to pin down my favorite subject. Dramatic lighting is a big factor when choosing a subject but I also am excited by textures, shiny reflective objects, cast shadows, closeup flowers, birds, animals, my gorgeous Arizona desert! The list of things I love to paint seems to be endless.
